iPod Nano 6G review

This is perhaps among the smallest and lightest addition to Apple’s iPod line. Many people are somewhat wishywashy about the new miniturised design so today we will give you our review and thoughts on this device.

Pros:

.Diminutive design perfect for an active person(45% smaller with iPod Nano 5G as baseline)

.Clip on the back(another perfect addition to an active person)

.MultiTouch(Faster then Click Wheel)

.Lagless interface

.Letterbased scrolling for even faster navigation

.Beautiful aluminium enclosure

.Long battery life(24hr music playback)

.Lightweight device(46% smaller with iPod Nano 5G as baseline)

.No armbands required for sporting purposes

Cons:

.More of a risk of misplacing due to new diminutive design

.Missing camera from previous gen(but the camera is poor quality anyways)

.Missing apps(which really varys on a persons lifestyle)

Bottom line:

This is a perfect device if you are a person on the go or if you are an avid athlete. But if you are a gamer to some extent then we recommend the iPod Touch more as it does have over 100,00 apps and games. Again the choice of iPods (and MP3 players in general) depends on lifestyle. We say this is definetly is a solid device and this defines the word”nano” very well. We over rate this device 4.9/5(excellent)

Nintendo 3DS Review

The Nintendo 3DS is perhaps one of the most raged devices of 2011…or for gaming anyways..
The reason it was so raged was because it was the first gaming console to use 3D without the necessity of 3DS glasses and once you think about it, it is amazing because no one wants to play games with big clunky glasses….because it it just inconvenient. So our staff at iLightningbolt picked up a 3DS on launch date and just tell you how things are and give you a review.

PROS:
.Realistic 3D effect
.Adjustable 3D levels for unique people
.High pixel density for top 3D screen
.Backwards compatible with previous DS games
.3D cameras
.Front-facing camera
.Smooth OS (Operating System)
.Beautiful and iconic device
.Good solid feel
.Wide spectrum of games
.Relatively low price point
.New analog stick

CONS:
.Poor quality 3D cameras
.Poor quality front-facing camera
.No internet browser in the OS (Until further OS updates)
.Glossy finish attracts fingerprints
.Decreased battery life (5hrs)
.May make others feel sick or ill
.3D off at certain angles

So overall, we think this is a solid device and contender to the next generation PSP (NGP) and we think this is going to be the future of gaming for years to come. The 3D effect is solid and it realistic but when not in permitted zones it may be slightly off. This also isn’ to expensive as it is the same price as a base model iPod Touch so if you are a serious gamer, be sure to pick up one of these next time you hit Bestbuy.

New iMacs 2011 predictions

It is very likely Apple will be rolling out their new iMacs some time this year at around May or June so here are my predictions.

New Intel SandyBridge Processors

New ATI Graphics to replace the HD5XXX series (preferably HD6XXX series)

ThunberBolt port (or Intels Lightpeak technology) is kind of an obvious one as it is already in the Macbook Pros.

Perhaps and new design as they have used the aluminium design for quite a long time

Faster ram perhaps the will use DDR3-1600MHz rather than DDR3-1333MHz

Chinese Company finds a way to turn iPod Touchs in to iPhone

January 25, 2011 Leave a comment

Everyone want the cost of a iPod Touch and the calling feature of the iPhone. According to Engadget a Chinese company has manufactured a device called “The Apple Peel 520″ that allows you to turn you iPod Touch into an iPhone. What this device does is it adds the baseband chip “Infineon” to the iPod Touch allowing carrier data access so that means voice calling and text messaging is possible. It also features an 800maH battery providing a additional 4.5 hr of call time..This device will sell for US $44-$74 which isn’t that expensive when a iPhone 4 cost over $800(without contract). But you will need your iPhone headset because there is no bluetooth on the iPod touch nor speaker and microphone.

iPad 2

According to some tech sources the iPad 2 is rumored to have larger speakers. It is rumored to have a camera but it will not have a front facing camera. Many users find that outrageous… because you are not going to use that giant tablet as you DSLR or anything. The only reason you need a camera is for Facetime. The feature that should have came to the iPad from launch. I think that Apple should rethink and have have the speakers the right way
